مانند یک انار، آویزان از شاخه‌ی درخت،

بهار و تابستان را به انتظار می‌نشینم. 

تو در یک روز سرد زمستانی خواهی آمد،

زمانی که دیگر درخت‌ها به خواب رفته‌اند.

سرخی من، از جنس تابستان نیست.

عشقی است که با مرگ پیوند خورده،

در طولانی‌ترین شبی که،

طلوع خورشیدش وعده داده شده.

As a pomegranate, hanging from a tree branch,

I sit waiting throughout the summer and spring.

Your arrival is due on a cold wintry day,

The time when the trees have gone to sleep.

My redness is not a summer specialty.

It’s a passion bound with death,

In duration of the longest night

Whose sunrise is already promised.
