Chisom Chigoziem Anarah
I’m Chisom Chigoziem Anarah, a writer and communicator with a knack for spinning stories that stick.
I earned my degree in Mass Communication from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where I honed my skills in crafting compelling narratives.
My work includes over ten book reviews on Medium, a poem published by The Poetry Lighthouse, and flash fiction slated for The Apogee Journal later this year.
Fiction is my forte—any subgenre, I’m in—though I dabble in poetry for its sharp emotional punch. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s Purple Hibiscus hooked me at nine, sparking a lifelong love for storytelling. Naming favorite books is tricky (too many good ones!), but I’ll admit to a soft spot for Rebecca Yarros’ brooding heroes—Xaden Riorson, anyone?
I speak English with zest and toss in some Igbo for good measure.
My proudest achievement is being a writer, creating worlds from words. Outside writing, I enjoy reading, singing (enthusiastically, if not always on key), and stargazing when I need a creative reset.
I discovered The Poetry Lighthouse on Instagram and was drawn to its vibrant platform for unique voices. It’s a community where my work feels right at home, and I’m excited to contribute to its literary glow.
