Body – loving
by Sahana Bar
She lay on her wide belly, on her soft and comfortable bed, checking her Instagram. Watching each friend’s post, she went on commenting, “Aww, I wish I had a figure like yours.” To which one of her friends replied, “You need to work a lot harder than you do and stop eating that rubbish!” It made her upset. She kept the phone away and stood in front of the mirror to gaze at herself. She smiled softly, which sparked up her pink cheeks and she thought to herself, “This face, makes it easier for me to sleep anywhere… Even without a pillow. The same goes for my hands; they are smooth and round. As for my legs; they are the most comfortable cushions I have at home — I can even warm my hands under my thighs… Wow.”
She lost her smile when she looked at her belly though, and pulled out some of the rolls in her hand, “They don’t look very good, do they?”, she asked herself. Soon after contemplating for some time, she let the rolls loose and said with a peaceful sigh, “At least they remember what I ate throughout my life.”
