A Mysterious Diary Entry

by Sahana Bar

My parents never understood what I feared. That thing made my stomach gurgle, and I trembled; the hairs on my dry skin standing on end;  mouth gone dry. I always knew there were tiny elves swimming in it and I… I am a vegetarian… I cannot eat moving things!

I was taken to the doctor’s, but I couldn’t explain—neither did they want me to explain. I didn’t know what was happening to me!

My throat and organs are crumbling inside and I am lying in this mechanic bed to support my life.

I’ve always seen little men swimming… little men with grey hair and moustaches. They wore neon-coloured shirts with black bottoms. They were around one centimeter tall, with pot bellies and laughing gaily while… swimming. Whenever I tried to bring them near my face, they would turn into flies and vengefully fly into my mouth, making me throw up.

But… But… How did they come here? I am a human and they don’t exist! But they did, I saw them, yes… I saw them. I DON’T LIKE MUNCHING ON HUMAN LIFE!

Oh no… Oh God! Here comes the nurse with a glass of water.
