Rose Norman
Rose Norman lives in the Scottish Highlands. Her poetry is often inspired by personal experiences and the places which have captured her imagination. She is passionate about being in the mountains, spending time in nature, seeking connection to history, and all forms of creative writing.
She particularly enjoys reading fantasy, the classics and historical fiction, with the periodic break for a thriller, or non-fiction deep dive. She has a science background, but was intrigued to try writing poetry after visiting some of the historic homes of the Lake District’s Romantic poets.
So far, she’s been published in the London Independent Story Prize, The Winged Moon Literary Magazine, Suburban Witchcraft Magazine, The Wee Sparrow Poetry Press, Moss Puppy Magazine and Mugwort Magazine. She also has forthcoming poems in Thomasonian, Poetic Reveries and Flight of the Dragonfly. She's on Instagram @roseinthehighlands
