Leen Verheyen

Leen Verheyen is a Belgian writer and philosopher. She studied drama and philosophy and holds a PhD in philosophy of art. Writing commissioned theatre texts led her into the broader literary field, where she now publishes poetry, short stories, and prose in Dutch. Alongside her fictional work, she writes essays exploring the intersection of philosophy and art, examining how literature shapes our understanding of the world and how moral judgment influences the way we perceive artworks. Recently she has begun publishing fictional stories in English, exploring how language itself can generate differences between versions of the same stories.
