Francisco Izukiri
Francisco Izukiri (he/him) is an Italian poet based near the Venetian Lagoon. His poetry weaves love, grief, art, and ecology into lyrical yet civic narratives. He writes in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian. Deeply inspired by diverse cultures and artistic forms, his recent hyperfixations include Carlo Scarpa (architect), Antonio Canova (sculptor), Ariana Papademetropoulos (artist), Chloë Wise (painter), FKA twigs, Astrud Gilberto, and e5 (musicians). His influences continue to expand, particularly within architecture and contemporary art, as he currently works as an exhibition guide at the Venice Biennale.
