Ella Middleditch

My name is Ella Middleditch, and I am a poet and student from Essex in the UK. I recently graduated from the University of Nottingham and am going on to study an MA in English Literature at Durham University. Poetry is a thing so vast I cannot even begin to comprehend it, but I am along for the ride all the same. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I count Ted Berrigan, Frank O’Hara, and Danez Smith as the foremost poetic influences upon my work. The thing I enjoy most about their poetry is the casual familiarity that they convey within the confines of sublime and precise language. It is a dream to be able read their work and respond to it in my own writing. I am also passionate about Talking Heads, David Lynch, and winning football matches (however rarely).
