Kimani Hare

Hello, my name is Kimani. I am a student at Alabama State University majoring in Education and ELA. As someone who struggles to get their thoughts out verbally, writing has always been my outlet for expression.

So, as I progress through this journey, I want to learn more about writing and literature, so what better way than to produce my works? This new motivation led me to take on poetry; with my poems thus far having been inspired mainly by the works of Robert Hayden and W. S. Merwin. 

Although I have aspirations of being a future writer/educator, I love to create in other art forms such as cooking and abstract painting.

I hope y'all love my poems and please provide feedback as I desperately want to grow as a writer.
