Chisom Anarah
Chisom Anarah, a Nigerian poet and storyteller, weaves words with passion and precision. Educated at Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education Staff School and Kem’s College in Lagos, she earned a Mass Communication degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where she served as copy editor for the university newspaper, The Record.
Chisom is a ghostwriter, content writer for Benzone Development Foundation, podcaster, voiceover artist, editor, proofreader, and avid book reviewer. Her creative spirit thrives on writing, reading, singing, and stargazing.
She cherishes novels like Purple Hibiscus by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Lord of the Flies by William Golding, Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros (she promised it has nothing to do with Xaden Riorson), and Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas.
Her favorite authors—Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Chinua Achebe, Akwaeke Emezi, and Nnedi Okorafor—inspire her craft, while Lenrie Peters’ The Panic of Growing Older remains her poetic touchstone. Chisom is often found lost in a book or shaping stories that illuminate the human experience.
