Don J Taylor
Don J Taylor is a Pushcart Prize nominee (2018) who lives in Central Scotland, with fiction and poetry published in print and online in the UK, US, and Germany. His work has featured in New Writing Scotland (2012 and 2020), AbstractMagazineTV ezine, Bath Flash Fiction Vol 4, Litro Magazine (2021 and 2024), and Pushing the Boat Out (2023). He won the Federation of Writers Scotland’s Autumn Equinox short story competition 2022. He had a short story, and a poem placed in the 2024 Neil Gunn Writing Competition. Recently his work has been published in The Tangled Web Magazine, Poetry Scotland, Dodging the Rain, Dreich, Short Stories from Scotland Vol 2, and Wordrunner Echapbooks.
He writes short fiction and poetry in Scots and English and often sets his work in the Scottish lowlands or Highlands with much of his fiction set in the past from Roman onwards. He is in the final stages of editing his novel based on his grandfather’s life in the early 20th Century.
