Arvilla Fee
Hi, I’m Arvilla Fee from Dayton, Ohio. I live with my husband, three of my five children, and my two dogs, Max & Scooter. I’ve been teaching English for Clark State College for six years and have a total of 23 years of teaching experience, including grades 7 – 12 plus college. When I’m not grading essays or running after our busy 4-year-old son, whom we’ve had since birth and adopted last year, I am reading, writing, and editing poetry.
I’ve been the lead poetry editor for October Hill Magazine for about five months, and I launched my own publication, Soul Poetry, Prose, & Arts Magazine in February of this year. When I want to relax, I like reading, watching “true crime” documentaries, and sitting on the beach listening to the ocean. I never travel without snacks and water (in case of an apocalypse) and I always carry pen and paper for those little fits of inspiration that might produce the most beautiful, organic poem on the planet.
