Jonathan Fletcher

My name is Jonathan Fletcher, and I am originally from San Antonio, Texas, where I currently live and work.  In 2023, I graduated from Columbia University School of the Arts with a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing (Poetry).  Besides writing (which I'm not sure I'd consider a hobby at this point), I like reading (again, not so much a hobby as an absolute requirement for a writer of any genre), watching movies, and roller skating at my local rink.  My favorite authors include Lucille Clifton, Ada Limón, and Carl Phillips.  Currently, I work for a community college, where I run the writing center.  I love my job, not only because it allows me time to write and read but because I get to work with students daily and help them improve their writing.  To say I'm lucky that I've found such a rewarding job doesn't do the work justice.  I'm grateful for this unique opportunity and excited to see what the future holds.
