A tangle of white Spring
Starflowers amongst a
Silent stack of
Forgotten oars
Green and white laced through
Diagonals, cracked blues
They clipped the water, rotating petals
Helicoptering, to the ground
Intersecting with root systems
Pistons, taking me back
To where it all began
A timber expanse, hewn
For the love of water
A trail of petals
Carried along in its wake
In its meanderings,
Starflower rivulets.
