Railway Run in Edinburgh

I am late, so I am running

Through Edinburgh, the sun going away

From the castle to Haymarket

Trying to catch a train

The streets are narrow

And full of people

Red lights force stop traffic

Wish I had a bike

As cars stand still

I can smell their sweet perfume

And fresh bread from the bakery

I hear the fierce trumpets fire

I am flying—that’s how it feels—

See the blue sky from the corner of my eye

And then catch a glimpse of a train moving
