people to avoid
Tomorrow?
Don’t know her.
Just leave her alone.
She’s fickle and ornery,
in a world of her own.
She’s gone when you get there;
goose burnt, guests distraught.
It’s best not to bother;
things are better when caught.
Like catching a sunbeam
or a smile or a breeze
or to catch yourself laughing
catching up over tea.
So I’ll live for today.
And just think about now.
Not when, not if,
not later, not how.
