House Viewing

Besides the usual checklist,

The “Is it clean?”

“Are the ceilings mould free?”

“Is there on-street parking?”

“And what about a garden?”

“Is there a washer and a dryer?”

“Can I bring my own air fryer?”

“As for the bed, is it a single or a double?”

“And the neighbours either side, do they cause any trouble?”

Besides the standard questions,

That come with any house inspection,

There are many other factors,

In the where-to-live decision.

The energy of the neighbourhood,

The whispers of the trees,

The cats that come to say hello,

Which takeaways are good to know,

Is there a sense of community?

Did I mention my need for greenery and trees?

Some say that beggars can’t be choosers,

But I’ll be damned if I can’t choose,

What’s good for me,

My health,

And wellness.
