Flower Press

I found it at the back of the cupboard.

Remember, you talked of little else?

That summer we searched meadows,

returned home with handfuls of wild flowers.

Lockdown taught us all so much:

how to live together around the clock,

no school or days at work to punctuate

family life as we kept up our spirits:

ordering things online, staying local.

As I loosen the wingnuts, a daisy falls.

Remember when you picked it,

just after we had ice cream in the park?
