Paige McCallum

Hello poetry enthusiasts! My name is Paige, and I’m writing to you from New South Wales, Australia. I’ve had a passion for music, poetry and the arts for as long as I can remember. Singing and writing have always been outlets close to my heart as a means to express what I had only known to be feelings in my head, coaxed into reality once I knew how to put them words.

As a neurodivergent I have always felt very deeply about little things, often misplaced as being confused or too much. But once I began to write, poetry gave me an outlet to self-soothe and translate those feelings in a way I could understand myself. Eventually I began to write about anything, everything and nothing at all. One thing I love to write about are the things often left untouched or unseen, small instances in life that are found in the everyday ordinary. To me poetry is universal, anything can be poetry; it is vast and expansive, bold and quiet, and can mean something different to everyone. I hope my work resonates with others and offers solace in life’s quiet spaces. I’m grateful to share my journey here.
