Caridad Cole
Caridad Cole is a second-generation writer and filmmaker from the backwoods of New Jersey, exploring family bonds, self-mythology, bodily autonomy, and monsters. She studied creative writing and film production at Bard College, where she took her first and last poetry class with Michael Ives (he taught her enough to last a lifetime). With a Pushcart Prize and other literary recognitions, her work has recently appeared in The Poetry Lighthouse, Coffin Bell Journal, and An Anthology of Rural Stories by Writers of Color, 2024 (EastOver Press). Caridad lives and works in Los Angeles, where she edits Moonday Mag and Chainmail Poetry. When she isn't writing, she can be found dramatically staring out at the sea, thinking of new ways to describe it. More of her work is on caridadcole.com.
