Bryony Mutton

Bryony is based in Lancashire (UK), having previously lived in Paris (France). She has been published in Om Yoga Magazine and The Bolton Review, longlisted in the Hive Young Writers Competition 2024/25, and is soon to be featured in Written Off Publishing’s forthcoming anthology of northern writing and photography.

Her writing is inspired by the ups and downs of life, from navigating depression, living abroad and going through heartbreak, to her love of yoga, climbing and swimming.

With an academic background in languages and cultures, she has worked in a range of roles over the years, from widening participation in higher education to teaching yoga, and everything in between.

Some of her favourite writers include Octavia Bright, Rafia Zakaria, Emily Pine, Edward Chisholm, Layla AlAmmar, Seynabou Sonko, Wendy Cope, Hollie McNish and Lemn Sissay.

When not writing, Bryony can be found covered in chalk at her local climbing gym, or speaking words at spoken word events.
