Brianna Skaff
Brianna Skaff is a multimedia artist and poet. Graduating from Rutgers University in the Spring of 2024, she moved to Philadelphia to explore curatorial work while growing her practice. Recent publications include The Cove Magazine, The Page Gallery, and HNDL Magazine. She constantly draws upon that ever growing feeling of nostalgia both inside and outside of her work. Some of her current inspirations include Ada Limón, Ocean Vuong, Mary Oliver, and Jeffrey Beam.
The current expansion of her work plays on what makes a house versus a home. Our bodies can grow accustomed to places extremely easily, yet we long for places for the rest of our lives that we will never see again. Through installing her work, she wants viewers to feel like they are stepping inside of a fragmented memory of a home. Tiny tables. Paintings as picture frames. Prints as wallpaper. She has had the pleasure of curating shows at Rutgers University, The National Apartments, and Icebox Gallery.
