Shinsei
Shinsei is a Tokyo-based poet and practicing physical therapist, deeply inspired by Stoic philosophy and Bushido. His poetry explores the human condition with clarity and quiet force, often engaging themes of mortality, dignity, and the meaning of life.
Outside of writing, he works as a physical therapist, where daily encounters with resilience, suffering, and recovery sharpen his perspective on the body and spirit.
His reading over the years has included Goethe, Camus, Dostoevsky, Unamuno, Balzac, Kafka, Fitzgerald, and Paul Auster. In Japanese literature, he has delved into the works of Dazai Osamu, Natsume Soseki, and Akutagawa.
