Aileen Cassinetto is a Filipino and American writer, adult immigrant, and daughter and granddaughter of immigrants. The founder of Paloma Press, she is a 2021 Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellow and former poet laureate of San Mateo County, California. With Luisa A. Igloria & Jeremy S. Hoffman, she co-edited  the award-winning climate change anthology, Dear Human at the Edge of Time, a companion to the congressionally-mandated U.S. Fifth National Climate Assessment (NCA5), and wrote the lyrics to Saunder Choi’s “Wide American Earth” which premiered at Carnegie Hall in June 2023.
