this evening, the universe reflects

empires of old rise

and fall as cosmos

watch with wisdom’s eyes.

stars ask the earth why

the kings cling to myths

of power, amass

the piles of fleeting

gold. celestial

skies know no dying,

trust the eternal

graces of change while

ruling fools build walls

of denial, dismiss

the truth, each soul bears

the image divine.
