Pouring
Passengers melt out of the bus,
and some pour my way, into this coffeeshop
(POURING DAILY: Mon-Sat 07:00 – 18:00
Sunday 08:00 – 16:00).
Outside it is pouring sunshine,
so I move there, bags packed,
am greeted by a van rolling by
(URBN FITNESS: Specialised Classes &
Group Cardio Work).
Fat must pour out, thin left
is right (now UBER: 80% Off Trips,
tells off the bus sliding away)
and (now GRAN CATERING on a digital billboard:
Don’t Settle For The Rest
Go For The Best)
money must pour out of panting pockets
if your fat is to be discounted
and you can eat your stomach out
at the next (GRAN CATERING again) wedding.
I pour some coffee down &
order the Triple Chocolate Wonder Cookie
as I dissolve myself.
