Dusk to Dawn
The sun floats on the horizon,
as the dusk eclipses the dawn.
Darkness peeks in,
as the wind swiftly drifts the remnants of the air.
The gloomy meadows I live in,
are awash with tears.
The dream of being with you is filled with fears.
I want to love you come dusk or dawn;
beg to hold you tight till the breeze sweeps the storm.
I swallow my sighs as I see the iridescent sky,
The time has come to take your hand in mine,
holding tight till the sun clears
the remnants of a bright dawn.
