A Change of Pace, Something Different

It would be enough

If rain fallen to the ground,

Ascended to the sky.

If pairs of clouds, waltzed

And took a bow.

If trees uprooted themselves,

Walked a few blocks,

And returned to their posts.

If rainbows did Catherine Wheels,

Cats ceased to please,

And dogs debated their owners…

That’s all it would take

For worry and care’s muscle

To be removed from the bone of self,

To see the world anew,

Away from the thisness of Now.
